Hear from our Homeschool Families:
Less Stress for Mom
"I appreciate having top notch teachers available for both math and science classes. I have 8 kids currently in school and math and science. I was very glad to pay the little extra to have the tutoring available to my kids as well. Everything doesn’t need to rest on mom and dad when homeschooling."
Elizibeth King

Learning New Skills
"My kids are becoming more independent and responsible for getting to their live classes and completing their daily work, it has carried into their other subjects as well."

My Kids are on Fire!
"Your passion for learning is contagious and the kids are having the best time. I saw a spark ignite in my son in your science classes several years ago (it's a fire now!) and I'm seeing it happen again this time for both of my kids in your math classes. What an absolute gift! Thank you!!

9 Homeschool Live Class Benefits
Engaging Instructors
Kids learn from real scientists, astronomers, pilots, biologists, and engineers in our live classes who have actually worked with and used the concepts taught in class.
No Planning Required
No time to prep? No problem! We prepare and deliver every single lesson and assignment (including answer keys and grading sheets) for every lesson.
Individualized Attention
Do your kids ask you questions you're not quite sure how to answer? We've got you covered! Our happy team of scientists answer every single question.
Easy to Use
We use Zoom for our live classes, which is free and easy to use! Students may ask questions through the zoom portal at any time during the classes.
Amazing Support
Live teachers plan their upcoming classes based on the students' participation in the current class. so it's a personalized educational experience to keep them engaged.
Live Recordings
Miss a class? Want to re-watch a class? Not a problem! We offer recordings of every single live class, so you can stay on-track and watch the recordings anytime.
Time with Teachers
Teachers pause to understand questions students ask, and will often take time during class to answer questions that pertain to the class and deepen the students' understanding of the material.
Independent Learning
We work hard to provide students with everything they need to complete their work between classes, which includes homework assignments and class projects. Students will choose the work based on their current skill level.
Learn with Others
Learning doesn't happen in a vacuum, it's a community effort! Often students ask questions during class that help others. Your student will benefit from being in a class surrounded with other students that share their excitement and love of learning.

Meet the Science Instructors
Aurora Lipper
Aurora started teaching Mechanical Engineering at Cal Poly State University at the age of 21, and then started volunteering her time teaching in local middle and high schools. Aurora also worked for NASA when she was a senior in high school (age 17) in addition to becoming a pilot, and all these things combined catapulted her into a life-long career in education and sharing her love for learning and science with others.
Brian Cox: Electronics & Coding
Brian’s journey in electronics began in the early 1980s with the assembly of Heathkit electronic kits. He holds a general class amateur radio license and started programming in high school with BASIC and Pascal, later pursuing computer science studies at Cal State San Bernardino. Today, Brian owns and operates FutureVision Research, where he designs and sells educational electronics kits that inspire and educate the next generation of innovators.
Oliver Kim: Biology & Microscopy
Oliver studied biology and microbiology at the University, and began working as a microbiologist. Oliver later changed careers to go into teaching high school biology in Austria, where he uses both stereo and compound microscopes in his science courses. In his spare time, he likes to explore the miniature world for the love of it, and has found a way to combine the hobby of photography with microscopy to motivate others to pick up this fascinating hobby.
Meet the Math Instructors
Aurora Lipper
Aurora is a mechanical engineer, university instructor, pilot, astronomer, and busy mom of four. She has taught math and science classes and workshops to thousands of kids since 1999 through her company, Supercharged Science & Math. For over two decades, Aurora has worked hard to build a bridge between boring, dry textbook courses and the exciting world of engineering and physics by showing kids how math is the language of science, and how to use it in the real world.
Doug Simms
Doug Simms is a Canadian Math teacher who wants to teach the entire English-speaking world. He inspires his students with this clear, methodical approach and encouraging words. Doug teaches high school math in Quebec educational system (when he's not in front of a camera for Supercharged Science). Aurora first met Doug when he was explaining to a class of students how to select the right size wood at a hardware store for building a structure using simple math.
Leah Merjan
Leah is a graduate student working to obtain her Master's degree in education and also her multisubject teaching credential. She loves working with kids, and is our live, in-person teacher for the student Study Hall sessions.

The Parent's Role
Parents must ensure their homeschooling program aligns with the academic standards established by their state. Staying actively involved in their child’s education is also vital, which includes reviewing assignments, assisting with labs, and supervising test-taking when necessary.
As the designated educational authority, the homeschool is responsible for keeping accurate records, including grades, transcripts, and other essential documentation that may be needed for admission to other educational institutions.
